Overview

Inside a collision repair

When a truck or trailer is damaged in a collision, downtime costs money — so the priority is an accurate assessment and a repair done right the first time. In our 32,000 sq-ft shop we handle everything from cab and panel work to full frame and chassis straightening, with Mitchell estimating and direct insurer communication built into the process.

Damage assessment & estimate

Every repair starts with a full inspection. We measure the chassis, check structural alignment and document all damage — visible and hidden — then build a Mitchell estimate that goes straight to your insurer, so the scope and cost are agreed before work begins.

  • Full structural inspection
  • Mitchell estimate
  • Insurer-direct documentation

Frame & chassis straightening

Heavy impacts twist frames and chassis out of true. Using measured pulling and alignment equipment, we bring the structure back to factory tolerances so the truck tracks straight, wears its tyres evenly and is safe to return to service.

  • Measured frame alignment
  • Chassis straightening
  • Restored to factory tolerance

Cab, panel & glass

Damaged cab sections, panels, doors and glass are repaired or replaced with parts matched to the vehicle. Lighting, mirrors and trim are renewed so the truck looks and functions exactly as it did before the incident.

  • Cab & panel repair or replace
  • Glass, mirrors & lighting
  • OEM-matched parts

Refinish & return to service

Repaired areas are prepped, primed and refinished to match the fleet livery, then the vehicle is rechecked against the original estimate. Final road and systems checks confirm it is ready before handover.

  • Colour-matched refinish
  • Final road & systems check
  • Documented handover
